Obituary for Louis Pocock
Peacefully, on May 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Sandra for 56 years. Loving father of Lisa Elias and husband Danny, and Lori Pocock. Cherished Grandpa of Nicole Elias (Jackson), Matthew Elias (Danielle) and grand-dog Charlie. Dear brother of Michael Pocock (Vickie), Gerald Pocock (Judy), and predeceased by Betty Gardiner (Wayne). Also predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Albert Pocock. Louis will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
After dedicating his life to teaching, coaching and making a positive influence in the lives of many over the years, Louis was inducted into the Windsor-Essex Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. Always an athlete, Louis enjoyed countless hours in the pool, and on his bike. His favourite place to be was Ipperwash Beach with friends and family.
Special thanks to all the doctors and dedicated nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital-Met Campus, for their kindness and compassion. Thanks also to the many friends and family who have reached out with kind words of support.
As per Lou’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
