Obituary for Louis Prieur

82 years, peacefully, on January 8, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 52 years of the late Virginia (McLean) and devoted companion to Terry Renaud. Loving father of Renée MacKenzie (Allan), Kathi Maitre (Mike), Arlene O'Donnell (Tom), Luann Kapasi (Mike), Sherri Welsh (Ross), Gini Kryway (Keith), Jay Prieur (Andrea), and Laurie Prieur-Laliberty. Dear son of the late Louis and Emily (nee Major). Dear Pépé of 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Nellie Desmarais, Lillian Coyle, Joe Prieur (Lee), Bob Prieur, Marg Marrin, Richard Prieur (Pat), Shirley Steiner (Joe), and predeceased by Clarence, Helen, Kathleen, Ray, John, and Tom. Brother in-law to Sharyn Sobolewski (Cass). Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Louis was the proprietor of Prieur's Market for many years. He was an honorary member of the Windsor Council 1453 Knights of Columbus, Dean Wagner Assembly Fourth Degree K. of C., and Order of Alhambra Garcia Caravan #230 (McGregor). Louis was the founding member of Club 55 and was an avid golfer, curler, bowler and loved cards. In kindness, a donation to the Order of Alhambra or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Visiting Tuesday from 3-5, 7-9pm with Third & Fourth Degree K. of C. and Alhambra prayers at 7pm at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd. East Windsor 519-969-5841. Visiting will resume after 10 am on Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. A cremation will follow.
