Obituary for Lucille Bondy (nee Drouillard)

It is with full hearts that we announce that our sweet, beautiful mother peacefully went to heaven. Lucille was a calm, wonderful lady who was dedicated to her family. Our mom had the most contagious smile and sparkling blue eyes which seemed to welcome everyone.

Lucille was born June 6, 1927 and died December 27, 2020.

Reunited with her beloved husband, Romeo (2001). Loving mother to Roger (Jean), Greg (Silvia), Jim (Corinne), Tim (Michelle) and Patricia. “Meme” so affectionally called by her grandchildren, Chantelle, Lise (Sameer), Lucas, Darryl (Heidi), Sarah (Tom), Justin (Allison), Keane, Brianna (Brad), Maisey (Nick) and Grant. Our mother was beautiful on the outside and inside and this shows in her great-grandchildren, Zoya, Venise, Morgan, Thomas, Luke, Lila, Audrey, Violet and Percy. Predeceased by her parents, Ovila and Cecile Drouillard. Dear sister of Rose Landry, Anna and Claire Drouillard. Predeceased by her sister Julia and her brothers Leo (Helen), Frank, Father Robert and Michael Drouillard. Sister-in-law to Yvonne and Viney Bondy. Predeceased by sisters and brothers in law, Ken (Kay), Lucien (Lorraine), Lawrence, Mark, Madeleine Gamble and Margaret (Murray Bates). A kind and precious aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks, love and a deep appreciation goes to the Amherstburg team at the Village of St. Clair. They have been so loving with our mom over the last 6 years.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Windsor/Essex County Alzheimer Society in honour of Lucille Bondy.

A private ceremony will be held and a celebration of life will take place in 2021. Arrangements entrusted to Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841.

“God only knows what we would have been without you”- We loved you in life and will continue to love you in the afterlife.”
