Lucille "Lucy" Akpata
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Lucille “Lucy” Akpata. Lucy loved fiercely and wholeheartedly and devoted her life to her children, Michael (Sheri), Michelle (Shawn) and John. Lucy was a loving Grandma to Reece, Regan, Ayla and Evan and will be reunited in heaven with granddaughter Maya (2005). She will be missed by Dr. Mike Akpata.
Through her retirement years, Lucy fostered and loved many children through the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society.
Thank you to the staff at Seasons Royal Oak Village who provided loving care to Lucy and very special thanks to the staff in Memory Care who loved our “Mama” as your own. Thank you to the medical and nursing staff at Windsor Regional hospital who provided loving comfort to Lucy.
Our world is a little less spicy now that Lucy has been called home.
In Lucy’s honour please consider a donation to the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society foundation or to the charity of your choice.
A private family service will be held.
