Obituary for Luigi Zarlenga

Passed peacefully on October 24, 2023 at 75 years of age.

Beloved husband, soulmate, and forever friend of the late Mary Helen for 35 years. Loving father of Kathryn and Laura. Beloved grandfather to Hailey. Cherished son of the late Mario and Maria Zarlenga. Much loved son-in-law of the late Ken and Cecile Meloche. Loving brother-in-law of Alice and Murray Speers. Proud uncle of Stephen (Emily) and Karen (Dane). Loving nephew of the late Vince and Emma DelPapa, Colomba and the late Bill Zarlenga, Ersilia and the late Tony Zarlenga, Elena and Bruno Ferrelli, the late Eileen Czombos and Bert Zarlenga. Lifelong friend of Fernando and Joyce Mazzoni.

Over the years Lou had a prolific career working as a Civil Engineer. He most notably worked with Bruce D. Crozier Engineering, The Town of Amherstburg as Public Works Manager and R.C. Spencer Associates. Outside of work Lou was an avid hunter and angler. As well he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and husband.

Visitation Sunday October 29, 2023 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. On Monday October 30, 2023 family and friends are welcome to gather at 9:30 until time of funeral service at 11:30 am at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
