Obituary for Lynn Mary Paterson

Lynn Mary Paterson, born on August 11, 1965 passed away peacefully while sleeping on April 30, 2020. She will forever be in the hearts of her two sons, David and Liam Gleason and her hungry cat, Jersey.

After arriving in Canada in her early childhood, she excelled in academics and later graduated from the University of Windsor with a degree in Political Science and later became a Service Manager at Scotiabank. After having retired, she lived quietly with her son Liam where she enjoyed staying informed on world politics, reading historical fiction and eating good food.

Despite this, Lynn was a punk rocker at heart. With her Clash T-Shirt and a pair of Doc Martens on her feet, we hope she can brave the new road ahead of her and reunite with her late husband and best friend, James Gleason.

We will not be holding any service at this time but you are encouraged to make a donation to the Joe Strummer Foundation and listen to your favourite punk band if you would like to show your support. I’m sure I’m not lying when I say that she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Thank you, Mum for always supporting me. I hope I can make you proud.

“I don’t have any other message than don’t forget you are alive”

-Joe Strummer
