Condolences & Donations

We were classmates along with E S joseph, George Mathew in a team of around 100 aspirants for a Bachelor's degree - a precious and difficult-to-get decoration those days - during the period 1954-58 in the Engineering College at Trivandrum, India - the only such college in the State. Philipose was a lovable, endearing person with ill will towards none and affection and empathy for all. Rarely has people like him tread on our planet. My heart aches when I think that he is no more with us. I pray for his soul. May his tribe increase. B S Warrier

Late Mr. Philipose and I were classmates in at the Engineering College, Trivandrum. I remember him as a gentle and very friendly person with a sound religious background. His younger brother also was staying with us in the Engineering College hostel. I cherish those memories of our early life, and I share the grief with all the family and friends. May God shower His abundant blessings.
With prayerful thoughts,
E. S. Joseph

I write this note with a heavy heart and sorrow. My only sister Glory ammamma was married to Joychayan during my high school days in Kumbanad.I was a student in Noel Memorial school, Kumbanad when Glory ammamma and Joychayan were married. At that time Joychayan was an engineer in Neyveli Lignite Project (in Tamil Nadu). Glory ammamma was studying for B.Sc.degree in U.C College Alwaye (Kerala). It is more than 60 years now. Joychayan was very much liked by our family, because of his humility and spiritual inclinations. I had opportunity to go and stay with ammamma and Joychayan in Neyveli, Tamilnadu. As he was selected by Atomic Energy and was send to Canada for three years training. Ammamma used that period to do MSc Chemistry in C.M.S college, staying with Pappa and Mamma in Kottayam with their children. Later he moved to Kota, Rajasthan where he worked with Atomic Energy as a senior engineer. We had opportunity to stay with them in Kota and later in Bombay also. During his service period in Bombay we could go and stay with them during children's vacations. Our children (Godly, Preethy and Geoff) fondly remember when Joychayan took us to various sight-seeing locations in Bombay and around. Joychayan and ammamma were good role models to us.

Joychayan's Home Call was not totally unexpected as he was sick for quite some time. We hope to meet him in Heaven as he was a dear child of God. We have a blessed hope of meeting him on the other shore. As mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 "For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” So let us comfort one another with the above promise.

My wife Molly and our children Godly, Preethy and Geoff and their families join with us sending this heartfelt condolences as we bid farewell to Joychayan's mortal remains.

Shalom Bible College Principal, staff and students are also join with us in sending this condolence message.

Regards,
Finny and Molly

Condolence Message on the demise of Bro. M Abraham Philipose :

Precious in the sight of the Lord , is the death of His saints. -. Psalm 116 : 15

IPC Bombay is grieved at the demise of Bro. M Abraham Philipose on 25th Feb. 2020 at the age of 83 years in Canada. Bro. M Abraham Philipose was a member of IPC Bombay at Chembur in the 1980s when he came to Mumbai to work at BARC while his wife Sis. Glory was working in Wilson College and they were staying at Worli. He was very active in the Church and was a member of the Board of Trustees or the Church Committee from 1983 to 1991before they migrated to Canada. He also served as the Treasurer of the Church for one year in between this period of their association with IPC Bombay. Inspite of his high position in his professional life, he was a very humble person and had a very cordial relationship with young and old. His family was also very much involved in the activities of the Church.

He had a house at Bhayander, which was given to a Pastor who could start a small gathering there as the beginning of the first IPC Church in Bhayander, which grew in it's Membership and later on, got shifted to Vasai and now it has a large Church hall and is now called IPC Tabor Church at Vasai.

We, as a Church place on record, our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray that God may comfort and strengthen Sis. Glory Philips (wife) and his children Bro. Abi and family and Sis Kunjumol (Ajin) and family at this hour of loss.
