Obituary for Madeleine Berthe Blondin
Madeleine passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her parents Romuald and Anita Tessier (Vincent). Wife of the late Narcisse Blondin (d. 2000) loving companion of the late Marcel Gadoury ( d. 2013). Loving mother of Ginette Kudirka, Yves (d. 2014), Carole (Jean-Claude Larocque), Christiane (Harold Chapman), Alain (Patricia), Denis (Bambi), Mario (Rachelle) (Sandra d. 2019), Stephane. Devoted and loving grandmother of Sandra (Marco), Derek, Daren (Cecile), Tricia (Craig), Bryan (Jane), Kelly (Paul), Marie-Josee (Marc), Gabrielle, Charles-Auguste, Kevin, Daniver, Bambie, Jennifer. Great grandmother of 22 and great great grandmother of 6.
Survived by her siblings Roger Tessier, France Tessier, Jacqueline Leblanc and Bernard Tessier. Pre-deceased by Ronald, Jean-Guy and Michel.
Madeleine was a fashionista with her coordinated outfits and jewels, she enjoyed feeding her family, sewing and knitting, and was a feisty card player who did not enjoy losing to anyone – including children.
In the words of Madeleine “I want to be remembered as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and also a great-great grandmother who lived for them with All my Love”
The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh, with special thank you to her caregivers, nurses and PSW’s, ALSO (Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario) staff at Residence Richelieu.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service in celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Donations to Windsor Essex Hospice in memory of Madeleine would be appreciated.
