Obituary for Mafalda Antonucci (nee Farina)

January 1, 1933 - November 9, 2023

Born in Gallinaro Italy, Mafalda passed away peacefully at the age of 90 surrounded by family. Reunited with her loving husband Tullio, parents Michelangelo and Angelina and sister Filomena (Emilio). Cherished mother of Gabriella (Allan), Tony (Lorraine), Bruno (Susan). Loving Nonna to Tanya (Chris), Denis, Brian, Andrew (Bianca), Lorie, Olivia (Phil), Andrea (Vic), Alyssa (Zack). Proud Bisnonna to 8 beautiful great grandchildren. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada, America and Italy.

Mafalda was a proud retiree from the University of Windsor. She was an avid bocce ball player where she was a founding club member at Ciociaro Club Windsor and loved gardening. Above all, family was Mafalda's pride and joy. Nothing made her happier than seeing her family gather for dinner or at family functions. Mafalda's eyes would light up at the mention of her children and grandchildren.

A special thank you to the staff at Shoreview Retirement Home and Extendicare Care Tecumseh nursing home for the care, love and support during Mafalda’s last years.

If you so desire donations to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor/Essex would be appreciated by the family.

Visiting will be held on Monday November 13, 2023, at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave Windsor Ontario, from 3:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. On Tuesday November 14, 2023, a funeral service will be held at Families First at 11:30am followed by procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery 5005 Howard Ave Windsor Ontario for entombment.
