Margaret passed away peacefully on August 26, 2019 at Huron Lodge having been a lung cancer survivor and after a lengthy battle with vascular dementia. Margaret is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Jerry Drouillard, her children Christine (Scott) Brady, Kathleen (Paul) Lawhead, Michael Drouillard, and Heather (Alan Parks) Drouillard, her grandchildren Matthew and Nicholas Brady and Ethan and Russell Lawhead, as well as many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She will join her sister Joanne Grillo, parents Evangeline and William Haslam, and Jerry’s parents Monica and Arnold Drouillard looking down with love and guidance on those who remain here on earth.

Margaret was a wife, a mother, a teacher and a friend to many. She was a career counsellor at the Unemployed Help Centre. She enjoyed reading, family trips, and was active in the Girl Guides, especially with the Girl Guide Swim Program and Camp Bosanquet. Margaret cared deeply for her family and was always present to support and guide them as they grew. She supported her husband in his life, love of camping, volunteer work and career as a teacher. She was a long time member of the Support Group at Brentwood.

The family would like to give special thanks to all who have supported her in her illness, including the Day Away programs, CCAC PSW staff, and the very warm and caring staff at Huron Lodge, especially her nurses Kellie and Joanne.

We honour her and celebrate her life with visitation on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.

On Friday, August 30, 2019 family and friends are invited to gather directly at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd. W.) after 9:30 a.m. until a Mass in Celebration of Margaret’s Life begins at 10:30 a.m.
