It is with profound sadness that the family of Margaret Carey (Plebon) announces her passing on Friday, February 14, 2020 in Windsor, Ontario at the age of 94. Born in Wilno, Ontario. Daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Plebon. She is also predeceased by 11 siblings.

Margaret is predeceased by her husbands Isadore Recoskie (1978) and Arthur Carey (1995). Beloved mother of David Recoskie (Susan), the late Dennis Recoskie (2016) (Dianne), the late Elizabeth Steele (2011), Maurice Recoskie (Terry) and Margie Malenfant (Russ). Grandmother to Rodney, Trevor and Amy, the late Terry (2016) and Tracy, Randall, Bradley and Justin, Ryan, Lindsay and Cody, and Douglas. Great grandma to dozens, and great-great grandma to one.

Margaret had so many interested, loved everything outdoors, fishing, gardening and watching her hummingbirds. She was an excellent cook and an even better baker. Her talents were immeasurable from quilting the most beautiful quilts to crocheting gorgeous tablecloths and knitting the greatest, warmest socks anyone could ask for. Always having socks for everyone at Christmas was her greatest joy to give to all who wanted them.

Margaret spent her final few years at Huron Lodge Nursing Home where she received such excellent care. She was very much loved by all the staff and her family is forever grateful to them for everything they did for her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor. Visiting Monday February 17, 2020 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor. Cremation to follow.
