Obituary for Margaret Anne King
Passed away peacefully on June 14, 2023 at the age of 78. Loving wife of late Roland Vanier. Predeceased by her parents Floyd King Sr. and Anne King and brother Floyd King Jr. She will sadly missed by her sister Mary Ellen and husband James Ouellette and surviving sister-in-law Brenda. Special Aunt Muggs of Lei Ann (Bruce), Chrissie (Chris), Mike (Brenda), Floyd III (Breeze), Karen (Josh). She will be missed by her many great-nieces and nephews. Grandma Marg will also be missed by the Vanier family.
Margaret was a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League of Corpus Christi Church. She enjoyed her job as an accountant at Bosquett & Company, where she was employed for over 30 years. Known as a crafty lady, her most recent project was knitting lap blankets for the residents of Huron Lodge. She enjoyed traveling, cruising and spending time at Caesars Windsor. She believed in the importance of family. Her main loves in her life were her family, friends and Sammy.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Windsor Regional Hospital ICU unit for the care and compassion shown to Margaret.
Visitation at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841 on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 2 to 5 pm. Parish prayers at 4:30 pm. Visitation continues on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd. West) from 10am until time of Funeral Mass at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus.
