Obituary for Marica "Mara" Vuletic (nee Marunic)
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marica Vuletic on January 27th, 2024 at the age of 74.
Devoted wife of late Jovo Vuletic (2023) for 53 years. Predeceased by her parents Djuro and Darinka Marunic. Cherished mother of Petar Vuletic (Natalie Greenberg) and Jelena (Karl) Muegge. Adoring Baba of late Alena Muegge (2022), Marisa Muegge, Marko Vuletic, Eva Vuletic, Nadia Greenberg, Milan Vuletic (Atiyyah Ferouz) and Sara Vuletic. She is survived by her brothers Dmitar Marunic, Milan “Miso” (Mira) Marunic, and sisters Milka (Tomislav) Gvozdenovic and Anka (Cedo) Radojcevic. Special Tetka “Aunt” to Jovica (Gordana) Vuletic, Sandra Gvozdenovic, Dragoljub (Tammy) Govzdenovic, Dejan Gvozdenovic, Zoran (Jennifer) Radojcevic, Aleksandar (Nikolina) Marunic and Milos Marunic. She will also be missed by extended family, kumovi, friends and clients.
Marica “Mara” was born in Medak, Lika, Yugoslavia. After Marica graduated grade school she moved to Serbia with her uncle Milan “Miso” to study hairdressing. In 1970 she married Jovo Vuletic and moved to Canada. In the new country she selflessly devoted herself and her time to her kids, grandkids, family, friends and anyone in the community, no matter what they needed. Marica was a pillar of strength. With her beautiful spirit and caring soul for others, she truly presented constant love and support for everyone in her life!
Visitation will take place at Families First Funeral Home in South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave.) on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with prayers at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 3rd at the funeral home starting at 10:00 am with funeral service and prayers at 11:00 am. Procession to her final resting place at Windsor Memorial Gardens will follow.
