Obituary for Marie Louise Turek
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at WRH-Ouellette Campus on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 85 years of age. Beloved wife of 64 years to Andrew. Loving Mum to Ross (MaryAnn) of Whitby, and Doug (Shelly) of Melbourne, AUS. Cherished Granny to Allison (Andy), Evelyn (Owen), Max (Sydney), Grace, Brooke, and Lauren. Predeceased by parents Bunty and Dick Wrigley, and her brother Gordon Wrigley. Marie is survived by step-siblings Liz Selim, Greta and David Wrigley.
Marie was born in Trinidad, spent her formative and university years in Scotland where she met and married Andrew. Together they migrated to Canada. Marie was a resident of Windsor for 50 years, she retired from YMCA as Residence Director after many years of social work service to the community.
On Wednesday, October 5, 2022 friends are invited to join the family at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd., W.) for a Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Interment to follow 12:30pm at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave., S.).
