Life Story for Mario Iacono

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of a beautiful soul, Mario Iacono at the age of 83. He entered into eternal life on June 27, 2019 surrounded by the infinite love of his whole family. A devoted and beloved husband for 51 years to Rachele Iacono. Adored and loving father to Bridget (John) Savoni and Domenic (Tina) Iacono. Cherished Nonno to his pride and joy of eight grandchildren: Gabriel, Nicholas, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Matteo, Hannah and Anthony. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Brigida Iacono, and his brother Salvatore (Maria) Iacono. Much loved brother-in-law of six and their families in Italy and Australia.

Mario retired from the Canadian Fine Salt Company after 28 years of diligent service. His work ethic was bar none, and he instilled that ethic along with his passion for cooking and gardening and much more to his children and grandchildren. His legacy will live on, and we will continue to make him proud. Eternally grateful for the gift of himself in our lives, with love forever.

If you so desire, donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
