Obituary for Marion Arlene Elsbrie (Girard)

Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on February 1, 2023 at 82 years of age.
Loving wife for 49 years of the late Robert. Loved daughter of the late Clarence and Alice Girard. Mother of Robert Elsbrie, Debbie Jubenville (1999), Steven Elsbrie (2017), Donnie Elsbrie (2002) , Ricky Elsbrie and Cathy and Bob Kivenin. Proud grandmother and great grandmother of a multitude of grandchildren. Dear sister of Mike (Mickey) and Tina Girard, Anna Mae Steptoe ( 2015 ), Victoria (Tuna) and Dwight Barron and Clarence ( Ginger) Girard (1988). She will be sadly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Special friend of her Village of St. Clair buddy, Rhonda Bradford.

Arlene was a former employee of the Windsor Star where she made her mark in the world of work. Her creative love was expressed in her ceramic creations, her floral displays and her boundless cake adventures. Lovingly anointed by her spiritual guide Bishop Paul, who was dear to her.

The overflowing love and care showered on Arlene by all her "Neighbours" and caretakers will never be forgotten. Words cannot express our gratitude for the tender love and dignity embraced upon Arlene by the Palliative Care Team at the Village of St. Clair. Arlene continuously expressed her new family, "Neighbours", provided her the best of times during her three month residency. A world of thanks to the doctors and nurses on the second floor at the Ouellette campus for their kindness and concern for Arlene in her time of need.

If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Funeral Mass, Saturday March 25, 2023 at 11 am at St. Anne's Church (12233 Tecumseh Rd E). Procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery to follow. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor.
