Our love and condolences to Sue, to each of the children and their spouses, and to the whole family, on the passing of one of our closest and most long-standing Windsor friends. Mark was always available to help, affirm and encourage. Always there to share beauty -- photography, nature, music; and to share humour -- puns and word-play, fondly remembered scenes from Fireside Theatre. One of our one-in-a-lifetime highlights was when Mark and Sue took us --round about this time of year -- to the Renaissance Christmas Festival in Detroit. Mark was a very generous man. He helped us renovate our basement. I remember driving around with Mark on his motorcycle to pick up electrical supplies. I also remember back in the Fall of 1997 during the Teachers' Strike that he lent me his warm Postal duds; he also took us out for dinner to help us through that tough period. He encouraged me in teaching, over many years -- showing up for my school concerts at L'Essor and just being a loyal friend. Mark would often send me videos of great orchestral performances from Youtube -- not just as an art-lover but as a person of great compassion for people with special needs. Mark's all-time favourite video was of the André Rieux Orchestra performing with a group of mentally challenged adults. He "got it"; he knew how special those moments would be for them, and for their loved ones. Mark was a multi-faceted, multi-talented person whom we dearly loved, and whom we shall fondly miss.

Just want to send my love and prayers to each of you as you gather on Saturday to celebrate Mark's life and as you give thanks for all that he meant to you in your lives. Sue, you and Mark were such good neighbours to Mary all those years ago. We have often spoken of you all and given thanks that you were a part of the Heritage Park Alliance family. The Lord called Ken home just over a year ago now but I readily recall him speaking, in particular, of how the Lord healed Mark's leg after his motorcycle accident - and how Mark witnessed to others of God's healing touch. Such good memories of the Ridley Family! Mark and Ken are together again, with the Lord! May we, who remain, also choose to live lives pleasing to God that He can use our testimonies for Him in our daily walk and one day be reunited with our loved ones who have gone on ahead. I will be with you in spirit as you gather on Saturday, praying that you will know the Lord's presence and comfort; that He will be very real to you, both now and in the days ahead. It is with regret that I am not able to join you, due to a prior commitment. God bless you each one. With my love, Elaine

My heart is sad to hear this news. He (and your entire family) gave me a home when I had nowhere to go. I think of you all often. To this day I still know facts about Telsa :) With love, Katie
