Papa Moe was a loving husband to my Meme and a kind man. He reached out to me with a heartfelt gift after the birth of my son and it brought me to tears. Even though my grandmother was gone and our family tie severed, he took the time to send me something I will cherish forever. I remember my Meme speaking lovingly of him and how much she missed him when he was staying with us in calgary when my dad was hospitalised. He was always kind and loving to us, and treated us as his own. I am sorry we were unable to make it to his funeral. Sending all our love and support to his family in the days ahead. Dear brother, i never expected that early death, i feel so sad that we did not have enought time in life to spend together. However the only regrets are the things we didn’t do....

Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences on your sudden and heartbreaking loss. It really does seem like yesterday where I can still clearly see Uncle Maurice lugging around his hockey gear to and from games, playing cards, and eating popcorn. I really loved the sleepovers and camping trips of our youth. He was always a kind, gentle, and patient man. Wishing you comforting memories in the days ahead.

It is with tremendous sorrow that I am even writing this. Moe is such a humble, and gentle man. It was a absolute honor to be graced with his presence. Moe and my mom met, and right away I could tell how special of a guy he was; he was so kind and his short belly laugh could make anyone feel better. He spoke about his grandkids so foundly everytime my 1 year old daughter would cuddle up under his arm and they would read a magazine together. He would share his coffee and lunch/breakfast dates with his daughters while we were together and such a sense of pride over going to Leamington, or New York to visit his kids. Moe and Corey would go on about finances and how his son was really remarkable at his job and all of their exciting travels. He loved his kids, grandkids, Linda, and family and every chance he could talk about you guys, he did. Remarkable kids, from a Tenacious and beautiful soul. Your father left a deep footprint in our lives. He filled my mom with so much love and happiness and I am forever grateful for him. We love you Moe and we miss you already. Sarah, Corey and Aurora (Linda's daughter)
