Obituary for Mavis (Robinson) Fregin (nee Herdman)
Mavis completed her life’s journey on earth, on September 27, 2020 at 86 years of age. Beloved wife of Edgar William Fregin for 23 years. Devoted mother of Diane (Cameron), Derek (Linda), Donna (Roger) and Dale. Stepmother of Laura (Michael), Douglas and Gordon (Michelle). She will be missed dearly by her 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents John and Edith Herdman. Loving sister to Gerald Herdman (late Donna). Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mavis retired from Ontario Ministry of Labour after 17 years of service. She was an active member at St. James Anglican Church serving on the parish council and the Chancel Guild. She will always be remembered for her passion for gardening, homemaking, family dinners and gatherings.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hospice of Windsor or the Windsor Regional Cancer Center would be appreciated.
At Mavis’s request cremation will take place with no visitation or services. A memorial service and celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor 519-969-5841.
