Obituary for Merine Laura Renaud (Trepanier) (nee Rivait)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful Mother, surrounded by her family on May 2, 2023 at 87 years of age. Loving wife of the late Edward (T.Boy) Renaud and the late Charles Trepanier. Daughter of the late Edward Rivait and Virginia Lajoy (Rivait, nee Barrette). Mother of Donald Trepanier and Christine, Marlene Trepanier, Cheryl Mailloux and Ernie, the late Marilyn Mansell and Pat, Maurice Trepanier and Julia, Lorraine Rodriguez and Julio, Joseph Trepanier and Denise. Stepmother of Sue Tiessen and the late Eric, Annette Sylvestre and Adrien, Gerard Renaud and Kathy. Grandmother of 26 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren and her first great-great grandchild will be born this summer. Loving sister of Armand Rivait and Theresa, the late Donald Rivait and Aggie, Pauline Strong, Dorine Drouillard and the late Ron, Jeanette Quenneville and Ernest. Daughter-in-law of the late Marie Renaud-Lachance. Sister-in-law of the late Helen and Paul Ruggaber, Stan Renaud and the late Rose, Roland and Edie Lachance, Armand and Betty Lachance.

Mom was an extremely devoted and loving soul to every life she touched, her kindness and generosity will be cherished by many. She will be remembered for her faithfulness and love for God. We will miss her smile, her hugs and three kisses.

If you so desire, Merine would like donations to Good Shepherd Church or Masses said in her memory at a church of your choice.

Visitation on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 2-6 & 7-9 p.m., prayers 7:30 p.m. and visitation continues on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 9-10 a.m. at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Road, East Windsor (519-969-5841). Procession leaving the funeral home Monday 10:30 a.m. to Good Shepherd Church, 462 Advance Blvd., Lakeshore for funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m.
