Obituary for Michele “Mike” Notarangelo

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Michele Notarangelo on May 25, 2023 with all his family by his side at 80 years of age. He was born in Monte S. Angelo, Foggia, Italy and moved to Canada for a better life. Soulmate and beloved husband of Angela (nee Macera) with whom they shared almost 52 years of marriage. Dearest and loving father of Camilla (Nick) Ignagni and Pasquale (Nia) Notarangelo. Nonno to his four treasures Natalia, Simona, Michele and Gabriella. Son of the late Pasquale and Camilla Notarangelo. Siblings Mattia (late Franco) Diurno and Nardella (late Matteo) Guerra of Italy. Rosa (late Matteo) Bisceglio, Lucia and Alessio Grilli, Bart and Marisa Notarangelo. Son-in-law of the late Alberto and Mariantonia Macera. Brother-in-law to Susie (late John) Macera, Josephine (late Adolfo) Macera, Victor and Nancy Macera and late Candido Macera. He will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews in Italy, U.S., and Canada, as well as many good friends and special compari. Mike retired from Trend Millwork where his work ethics were astounding as he strove for perfection in his trade as cabinet maker. He took pride in building many kitchen cabinets and furniture. Mike enjoyed making homemade wine, cooking family meals and building in his workshop where he spent many hours doing what he loved best. Mike was a proud member of the Caboto Club. If you so desire, donations to Transition to Betterness, Windsor Cancer Centre or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Visiting will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm with parish prayers at 4:30 pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor 519-969-5841. On Monday, May 29, 2023 family and friends are invited to meet after 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd. W) followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
