Mirto was not only a loving husband, father and grandfather, he was the patriarch of his extended family. He was ever-present in everyone's lives. Whatever the event, Mirto was always there with his quick wit and humour. Kim and I are fortunate to have had Mirto as a cherished member of our family.

Dearest Anna and family, Bob and I are very sorry to hear of your great loss. Mirto was such a fun loving man, he loved his dogs and ours and was always out in the yard working when we passed by. His friendly smile and genuine interest in beauty as seen by his enchanting pond and carefully manicured garden speak volumes about his personality and dedication to living his life to the fullest. We are heartbroken to imagine the neighborhood without him. Likewise I know what a huge blow this must be to your family especially after enduring such a long and dreadful illness. Although this rocks your world, we hope for strength and the many memories of his laughter and life to sustain you. He will not be forgotten and he leaves an indelible mark on our world.

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the crisp and sparkling snow.
When you awake in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in feathered flight. I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there. I did not die.
