I couldn't have written my feelings any better than how my brother had done it below. I will just add, that in my experience with people losing loved ones, many tell me that the last thing the person says is in reference to some mode of travel (eg. car, boat, plane). So, to my Ciocia: Dear Ciocia, whatever it is that you decided to take on your next journey, I hope it takes you somewhere that is pain-free, beautiful and keeps you smiling. I have been trying to make sense of why my aunt had to leave us so soon but I just can't. I am just thankful for the time I had with her, however brief it was. I keep trying to write what my aunt meant to me but to be honest no words will ever do. All I feel is that I lost a piece of me that I can never get back and for that I am saddened beyond words. Dear Zofia, Giro and family...your loss is great and from us a deep heartfelt sorry. Nothing can ever replace a light as bright as Nadzia's. Only, we can bask in the absolute joy that we had our lives touched my a wonderful, funny, caring and gracious woman.
