Nellie Anne Siddall (nee Duralia)

Our Majestic Matriarch, Our Queen, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family after a brief illness. Reunited with her beloved husband Robert (2005), her son Rob (2016) and her grandson Kevin (2014). Nellie dedicated her life to raising 9 children, each of whom she treasured and treated as her special one: Ted (Janet), Douglas (Jorge), Dennis (Kathy), the late Rob (Suzanne), Sandra (Rick Thrasher), Gary (Kathy), Ken (Carol), Jim (Laurie) and Joe (Tamara). Each and every one of them could, and would, honestly declare themselves her favourite! Along with her 9 children, Nellie was the proud grandmother of 27 grandchildren and great-grandmother “GiGi” of 31 great-grandchildren. Our grandmother and GiGi was a powerhouse, our queen and matriarch of the wild and crazy Siddall clan. We have always looked up to her for her willpower and determination, incredible work ethic, being unapologetically particular and her ability to laugh and have fun in this journey of life. Nellie, born in Croatia, was one of seven children: she will be missed by her brothers Joe and John, and her sister Kay Coulson. She is predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Slobasky, Annie Horvat and Mary Champ. Nellie was a Tupperware Unit Manager for “Nelles Belles,” and was commonly referred to as the Tupperware Queen of Canada. She has won every award and achieved every level of the Constellation of Stars (Connie), humbly receiving each with her signature combination of majesty and grace. All of her “Belles” recently reunited to celebrate her 90th birthday. She and our father hosted their annual Christmas Party on December 27th each year, with singing and celebration with the entire family in their beautifully decorated home, inside and out, lit by Christmas lights alone, with each bulb perfectly placed. She was determined this year not to miss her party, and arrived home briefly that day with her beautifully styled hair adorned with a tiara, wearing her red Christmas cape. She was an avid gardener, having won many awards from the Windsor Star for her impeccable gardens of flowers.

For those who wish, donations may be made to any local charity of your choice.
