It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Norman on May 27, 2022, due to undiagnosed stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer, at the age of 47, with his loving wife by his side. Norman was happily married and devoted to Jaime-Lee for 14 years. Cherished and good son of Maureen Ann Lewis (née Richardson) and the late Michael Albert Lewis (2007). Lovingly remembered by his Aunt Kathy Ellen Graves (née Richardson) and her husband Gary Graves, as well as his cousins Sarah Ropat (née Hewson) and husband Jason, Mark Hewson, Mary Moir (née Hewson) and husband Darrin. Much loved son-in-law of Shirley Steel (née Bober) and Donald Steel. Loved brother-in-law of Meghann Steel and André Collins, Justine Steel and husband Danny Strobbe. Beloved uncle of Quwen, Tommy and Maia.
Norman loved writing and listening to songs and music. He also loved to travel, especially up north to the Bruce Peninsula. Cars, movies and video games were a passion and Norman also loved local history. For Norman food was love, and he loved to share his favourite baked goods with family and friends. He couldn’t walk past someone walking their dog without saying “hello”—to the dog. Norman was always good for a joke, sometimes dark, but always funny. He was a friend who could always be called upon, regardless of the need.
Norman had many more people that loved him both near and far: Betty Bober, Darlene and Steve Hecnar and family, Henry and Line Bober and family, Julie and Ray Adams and family, Susan and Andrew Hlozan and family, Marie Longeuay (the late Greg) and family, Perry Bober and family, Tammy and Tony Fanara and family, and the late Janine Taylor, the Boivin family, James St. Onge and family, Lottie Paré and family, Bev Drouillard (the late Heath), Paul Ippersiel and family, Mark Zugcic and family, Milo Lori and family, Jerry Skorin and many more friends, family and co-workers that cared about him very much.
If you so desire, donations to T.L.C. Animal Aid would be appreciated by the family.
