Blais, Ottilie “Tillie”

Born October 19, 1951. Passed away peacefully after a long illness, on February 6, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Cherished wife of Germain for 48 years. Beloved mother of Tina. Treasured daughter of Elizabeth Fekecs (late Frank). Dear little sister of Frank Fekecs (Patty) along with their children Frank (Laurie) and Sue (Bobby). Dear sister-in-law of Roland, Gigi, John (Anne), Diane (late Bud), Claude (Micheline), Rolande (Jean), Normand, Lucie (Daniel). Predeceased by her mother and father-in-law Jean- Marie and Isabelle Blais. Tillie will be forever remembered by Tony Beaudoin (Penny-Anne) and as the fun-loving Aunt to several beloved nieces and nephews. Tillie will remain in the hearts of her cousins Joe Koszo (Joan) and Eva Kurtz (Bob) and families. Heartfelt thanks for all the kindness and support shown by many dear friends and extended family. Special thanks and appreciation to the thoughtful team of VON nurses and care workers. Tillie was a natural artist and had impeccable talent for decorating and design. She made her home welcome, warm and loving for her family and many guests. She was a sensational hostess and wonderful cook who loved to entertain and celebrate special occasions with great detail. She worked many years alongside her husband as secretary treasurer of the family business. She was thoughtful to her core and family was her priority and her delight. Tillie had a deep fondness and connection to her much loved pets and took extra special care to nurture their well-being. Her fun-loving and gentle teasing will be greatly missed and forever remembered fondly in the hearts of many. If you so desire, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by her family. A private family service was held and cremation has taken place. A celebration of Tillie’s life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Families First 585 Sandwich Street South, Amherstburg, 519-969-5841.
