Obituary for Patricia (Pat) Jones

The best, most awesome, beloved mum ever, loving and devoted Nanna and Aunt, loyal friend. Mum was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1952. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years Graham, her brother Jim, her parents Edward and Jessie Whyatt, her sisters-in-law Lisl, Elaine and Patricia and her dear grandson Greyson.

Patricia leaves behind daughter Leslie, sons Andrew (Michele), Ian and Keith (Shirley); grandchildren Alexandra, Tyler, Sarah and Adam; great granddaughter Alilya, brother-in-law Ralph and sister-in-law Margaret; nieces and nephews on the Jansen side Peter and Michael, and on the Jones side Chris, Jackie, Gillian, Vicky, Jennifer, Wendy, Valerie, Adrian, Helen, Roland, and Claire and best friend from childhood Ruth.

Mum was a true modern renaissance woman. She was a working woman in the 50s. She wrote moving poetry and a daily journal; took voice lessons, sang in a beautiful alto voice, performed solos at church. Mum took a horticultural correspondence course from Guelph U and always had a butterfly garden; recycled before it was called recycling; was a skilled knitter, sewer, weaver and longtime member of the Windsor Weaver's Guild. Mum volunteered for the 35th Cub Pack as the leader Raksha.

Mum was also the keeper of the entire family birthday calendar and thoughtfully and lovingly made sure everyone's special days were recognized. We will all miss her dearly.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation Friday, November 18, 2022 from 10:30am until time of the Memorial Service at 11:30am at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841.
