Obituary for Patrick Michael McMahon

Patrick (Papa) passed away peacefully at the age of 72, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was married to the love of his life Donna for just shy of 52 years. He is survived by his wife and two children Jack McMahon (Laurie), Stephen McMahon (Sarah), and his grandchildren Ian, Seth, Bridget, Cade and Myla.

He is pre deceased by his parents John (Jack) McMahon and Rose McMahon. Patrick will be missed by his sister Donna Mae Meredith (Victor) and his brother Robert McMahon (Beverly) and his many Nieces and Nephews.

Patrick began working at Chrysler Canada before moving to General Motors (Trim Plant). He spent a few years driving children to school as a bus driver, before moving to the Amherstburg Police Service where he worked as a Special Constable for the remainder of his work career. Patrick loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching his favourite teams play, especially cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Patrick grew up playing baseball and basketball at Assumption College. He was also a member of the South Windsor Knights of Columbus for many years. He especially loved his time fishing with great friends and going away with their camping group. He enjoyed his frequent trips to Disney World, and sailing around the islands on many cruises.

We would like to thank all the staff in the Emergency Department, and the Nurses and Doctors on the Cancer Floor at Windsor Regional Hospital for their exceptional care.
