Paz was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico on July 13, 1922 to a loving family. Paz and two of her sisters came to Canada as young women to learn English and further their education. While in Canada, Paz was blessed to be surrounded by the Bouzide family, who cared for her while she was at St. Mary’s Academy and met the love of her life, Ray. Paz and Ray were married in Mexico City and returned to Canada to reside in Windsor. She was always a caregiver whose love for family knew no end. In the early years, she welcomed nieces and nephews from Mexico into her home as they completed their education in Windsor. Her dedication to family continued through the years with weekly letters, phone calls and yearly visits to her home in Mexico. Her unconditional love and service to both the Jirash and Mady families was unwavering. Paz was a woman of great faith and was actively involved in parish life where she met so many lifelong friends. Paz and Ray were committed loving parents to their daughter Geralyn and through their example she has and, will continue to live a life filled with care and compassion for others. Thank you to Dr. Gary and Anne Kuprowski for your care and support over the years. Thank you to mom’s caregivers Pam, Teddy, Debbie, Farah, and Amanda.

If so desired, memorial donations to The Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
