Obituary for Peter Joseph Kelly

The family and “fur babies” of Peter Joseph Kelly are saddened to announce the passing of their Dad, Papa and Great-Papa. Peter passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love that he helped create. Born April 20, 1934 to Peter and Emily (Lucier) Kelly, and passed into the loving arms of the Lord, and his beloved late wife Doris on September 23, 2020. He will be greatly missed by his children, Pete, Mike and Katie, Cheryl Kelly, Pat and Elaine, Linda and Doug Lane, Susan and Pete Muzyka, Karen and Dale Miller, Kevin and Sherry and Roxanne Boow. Papa will forever be in the memories of his grandchildren, Brandy, Daniel, Erin, Stuart, Candice, Sherry, Peter, Paul, Cheryl, Stacy, Kenny, Kevin, Brandelyn, Cooper, Jared and Madison. Great and Great-Great-Papa to many. Papa will be welcomed into Heaven by grandchildren Steven and Chantelle; there will be a small welcome party waiting with siblings Pat, Kate, Ilene and Don. Pete leaves behind his brother James. He will be missed by his cherished nephew Matthew Fields “Ned” and his “fur babies” Princess and Duke.

Peter was a “force to be reckoned with” as he forged his way into the world, raising 9 kids with Doris while establishing many business ventures, starting in the 1960’s. Peter started with Pete’s Welding, and went on to Shur Lok Products, Kelbour Management Inc. and Blue Sky Machining Corp., creating a “career” spanning many decades. Peter was a long-time standing member of the Moose Lodge.

If you so desire, donations to Canadian Liver Foundation or Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor & Essex County would be appreciated by the family.
