Obituary for Phyllis Josephine Bisnett (Nee Peterson)

Phyllis went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday May 22nd 2022. Beloved Daughter of the late Carl and Tena Peterson. Treasured sister of Irene Stewart, Lloyd Peterson, and the late Pearl Clarkson. Loving wife of the late Gordon Bisnett. Devoted mother to Sharon Lefrancois (Moe), Barry Bisnett (Mary Beth). Faithful Nan to Tina Lefrancois (Jeremy Mozzon), Tanya Steenbeek (Gerard), Sarah Leno (Nathan), Ryan Bisnett (Stacie) and Mitchell Bisnett (Laura). Adored GG to Eli, Clara, Maya, Isla, Amelia, Hattie, Grant, Ellis, Ava and Benjamin.
Phyllis was born in Shaunavon Saskatchewan, and grew up living the farm life. She moved to Windsor at the age of 12 and was raised by her loving Auntie Emma and Uncle Herman Peterson. She married Gordon at the age of 20 and quickly started her family. Phyllis had a love of music and art. She was an incredibly talented self-taught artist and accomplished pianist. Phyllis was also a woman of strong faith. Gordon and Phyllis were some of the founding members of Heritage Park Alliance Church, where they faithfully served and attended for more than 60 years. Phyllis will be remembered for her quick wit, creative nature and love for her family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family would like to thank the staff at Seasons Royal Oak Village Lasalle, Home Instead, VON eshift, and St. Elizabeth’s for their care and compassion in her final days. If you so desire, donations to Faithville Gospelcast Productions would be appreciated by the family.
Visiting Thursday May 26, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Friday, May 27, 2022 family and friends are invited to meet at Heritage Park Alliance (2501 Concession Rd. 6) after 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
