Obituary for Pietro Corio
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father Pietro, surrounded by his children, on May 7, 2021 at the age of 93. Reunited with the love of his life, Tindara (1994). Devoted and loving father of Antoinette (John) Tortola, Tony (Margaret) Corio, Mary (Romeo) Mancini and Peter (Anna) Corio. Adored Nonno of grandchildren Christopher (Mary Ann), John (Claudia), Michael (Natasha), Marc, Adam, Michael, Peter, Ryan, Peter, Joey and David, and great-grandchildren Angelina, Antonio, Franco (d. 2014), Alessio, Elena, Gian Franco, Gian Luca, and Luca. Predeceased by his parents Antonino and Antonia. Brother of the late Alberto, Giuseppe (Nancy), and Rocco (Caterina) and brother-in-law of Santa (Pietro), the late Maria (the late Santo) and Francesca (the late Giuseppe). Pietro will be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, the USA, and Italy.
Pietro was the proud owner of Pete & Joe’s Meat Market (at the City Market) along with his brother. He was an avid gardener, competitive fisherman, and a passionate Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Above all, he enjoyed and cherished any time he could spend with his family.

Reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend visitation on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 7-9 p.m. or on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. You can reserve your time using the RSVP buttons below.
On Wednesday, May 12, 2021 all are welcome to watch a LiveStream of Pietro’s Funeral Mass from home beginning at 11:00 a.m. Private entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
