Raymond James Tellier

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 3, 2019 at the age of 80. He is survived by his beloved wife JoAnne (nee Deslaurier) for 47 years. Loving father of Deborah (Dave) Lemire, the late Darlene (2018), the late Mary (1962), Paul (Hans) Girard, Laurie Tellier, Steve (Patti) Girard, Gary (Tina) Girard, Kim (Marcel) Vanier, Garnelle (Jake) Tremblay, Dr. Joyce (Jon) Johnson, Proud Papa of 18 grandchildren, 1 granddaughter predeceased, and 16 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brothers James (Sandy) and Gerald (Lucy) and the late Edward (2019) (Lucille). Survived by his sisters Rita (Bob) Pitre and Janet Mulhall. Dear brother-in-law of Danny (Barb) Deslaurier. Predeceased by his sister Shirley (1995) and her husband Jerry (2003). Beloved son of the late Edward & Edna Tellier. He worked for 32 years at Chryslers as an assembler, foreman and retired as a pipefitter. He was a long haul trucker as well as a bus driver for Stevenson. He drove stock cars at Checker Flag in the early 1960’s as well as coached baseball in Belle River.

He loved watching hockey especially the Toronto Maple Leafs and he will miss his bowling buddies. He was a proud member of the Belle River Lions Club with 40 years of service. He was president twice as well as a zone chair. He was also a member of the K of C Council 8783 in Comber. He was an altar boy and usher at St. Simon & St. Jude Parish for many years. He was a member of the Good Neighbour Club since 2011 and was their current president. He also helped work the family farm as well as the Case implement store and garage where the UPI currently sits. He was very active in the community and will surely be missed by all who know him.

Cremation services were held. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Sunday, April 14, 2019 family and friends are invited to an open house at St. Simon & St. Jude Parish Hall (488 St. Charles St., Belle River) from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
