Obituary for Rev. Brenda E. Bowers
Born in Somerset, Jamaica, Pastor Brenda Bowers passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022 at 87 years of age. Loving and devoted mother of Trevor Aitcheson and Myrna Bowers- Freckleton (son-in-law Peter). Beloved grandmother to Jordan, Joshua and Jeremiah. Wife of Ransford Bowers.
Pastor Bowers served the ministry of Christ for over two decades as the founding Pastor of Rays of Light Ministries. She was a strong community champion through her roles as the founding president of Windsor-Essex Prayer Fellowship and an active Minister at Windsor Jail. She was a faithful member of Open Bible Faith Fellowship (Ministers Network Canada). Pastor Bowers committed much of her lifetime as a Registered Nurse, working at WRH-Met and Western, Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, and Harper University Hospital in Detroit, MI.
Pastor Bowers will be fondly remembered by her sisters, church family, and the many lives she touched.
Visitation Friday, October 28, 2022 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
Friends are invited to join the family after 10am on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Banwell Community Church (2400 Banwell Rd.) followed by Rev. Bowers Homegoing Service at 11:00am.
Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
