In retirement Bob committed his time to his faith and family. Training to become a Deacon through the Dioceses of London. Bob was a long time parishioner of St. Matthews Church and served as a choir member, a lector, and Eucharistic Minister. When he moved to East Windsor, he continued to serve at St. Mark’s by the Lake in St. Clair Beach.
He loved spending time at his cottage in Bayfield with his family, and birthdays there were always full of family fun. He loved reading and spent many hours with his e-reader and a glass of wine. He and his wife had a fond love for labs and throughout their 40+ year marriage they owned 3 of them: Tammy, Sasha and Kerry brought joy and laughter to their lives. Bob also loved to camp and especially enjoyed canoe trips over the years with his 2 sons and his granddaughter Jessica.
Donations to Canadian Mental Health would be appreciated by the family. Cards available at the funeral home.
Visitation will take place on July 12 at Families First Funeral Home (South Windsor) from 11am until a Celebration of Life at 1pm. Procession to Victoria Memorial Gardens to follow.
