With great sadness we announce the passing of Richard Ducharme on January 8, 2023 at the age of 85.
Predeceased by his wife Ann (nee O’Hara). He will be greatly missed by his four children Christine Lui (Ray), Mary Beth Taylor (Mel), David (Mona) and Nicole. Stepchildren Susan Roger (Brian), Sean O’Hara (Katherine) and Patrick O’Hara. Beloved grandpa to Jessica, Kayla, Justin, Samantha, Harrison, Hayden, Megan, Kassandra and Michael. Devoted brother to Patrick (Janice), Sisters Jane and Anne and predeceased by his siblings Edward (Carolyn) and Cecile (Donald). Forever remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Dick had a knack for making friends. His cheerful, good-humored disposition made him easy to get to know. His passion for golf brought him to LaSalle where he made many friends including Bill and Barb Thompson, Dino and Carol Buratto and the late Al and Twyla Warwaruk and their families. Richard will be fondly remembered by all that knew him.
Thank you to Iosefina Ursu and the staff at 2 North Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus for making him as comfortable as possible.
If you so desire, donations in memory of Richard can be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Home of Windsor or Hospice of Windsor.
Family and friends are invited to meet for a Memorial Mass on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 10:30 am. at Our Lady of Guadalupe (834 Raymo Rd.)
As per Dick’s request, a Celebration of Life will be held at Essex Golf and Country Club at a later date.
