Passed peacefully into God’s hands on November 14, 2020 in his 81st year. Precious father of beloved sons Jeffrey McEwan and Kenneth McEwan. Predeceased by parents Florence and Frederick. Survived by sister Barbara Prew and husband Clifford of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Predeceased by brothers John Michael (1985), Frederick (2016) and sisters Margaret (1996) and Gloria Odette (2008). Dick will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and many good friends and neighbours. He was a truly devoted friend who gave generously of himself to all. Dick had many life experiences and we should all live by his example. Dick retired from Ambassador Bridge after 32 years of dedicated service. He was a Teamster Local 880 member for 32 years and an avid hunter and sports shooter and had many talented skills in carpentry. If you so desire, donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated by the family. A private family service will be held. Burial at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
