Obituary for Richard Bruce Pekar
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 31, 2022 at the age of 82. Cherished husband and best friend of Ann (nee Robinson). Loving father of Raymond, Duane (Melissa), Laurie (Rusty). Beloved grandpa to Jordan (Matt), Riley, Colton, Ian, Nastia, Marley, Rhys, Cole and great-grandchildren Justin, Taylor, Hailey. Dear son of the late Andrew and Kathleen Pekar. Devoted brother to late Diana (late David) Beneteau. Brother-in-law to Linda (late Andrew) Cincurak, late Doug Robinson. Richard will be missed by nieces and nephews Kathy, Christine, Kimberly, Tim, Deanna, Kelly, Jeff.
Richard enjoyed his retirement spending time with his family. He adored his wife of 61 years and always put his family first in all he did. An avid fisherman and dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He was a dedicated volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society for over 15 years.
Visitation at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841 on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Visitation continues on Sunday from 10:00am until time of Chapel Service at 11:00am. A private interment to follow.
