Obituary for Rino Masotti
The brightest light in our family has gone out on February 24, 2021 at 81 years of age. Loving and devoted husband of Violet (nee Vince) for 57 years. Beloved father of Lisa (Eros Spadotto), Marlo (Rick Cassan) and Marc (Lareina). Cherished nonno of Nicole, David, Evelina and Talia. Brother of David (Nancy), the late Almino and Giannina. Brother-in-law of Elayne Kazlauskas (Tony) and Bill Vince (Denise). Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Luigia Masotti. Survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, United States and Italy.
Rino was born in Cisterna, Friuli, Italy and came to Canada in 1953. Rino was the founder of Masotti Construction Inc. established in 1950 and was highly respected in the construction and development community. Proud member of Fogolar Furlan Windsor, the Windsor Construction Association and a former member and competitive sailor at Windsor Yacht Club. He was an avid golfer and hunter. A special thank you to Dr. Roxanna Chow, the doctors, nurses and staff at Toronto General Hospital and WRH – Met. Campus for your care and compassion.

On Sunday February 28, 2021 reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend visitation from 2 – 5 pm and 7 – 9 pm at Families First, South Windsor. On Monday March 1, 2021 reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend the Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd W.) at 11 am.
You can reserve your time for visitation by using the RSVP program on this web page or by calling directly. A separate reservation is required to attend the Funeral Mass by calling Corpus Christi Church directly (519) 969-5292.
On Monday, a livestream link of the Mass will be available on Rino’s online profile. A private family entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
