Obituary for Rita Reaume
After a long and happy life, Rita passed peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2023 at the age of 96.
Reunited with her beloved husband Bernard (2012). Cherished mother of Anita (Bill) McKay, Janice (Ronald) Slack, Elaine (Dave) Peacock, Denise Reaume (Jim Frazer), and Michelle Ruthmann. Loving Mémé of Leslie (Joe), Michael (Sarah), Ian (Anna), Brian, Valerie (Jordan), Adam, Alek (Desiray), and Sebastian. Great-mémé of Ben, Clover, Ender, Felix, Lexie, Norah, James, Jesse, Ella, Isaac, and Violet. Dear sister of the late Evangeline Market (2022), Beatrice Lavallee, Norma Cotter, Bernice Bondy, and Theresa Denomme. She will also be missed by nieces, nephews and extended family.
Rita was a member of the CWL, Art Zeraldo Card Club, St. Gabriel Card Club, and enjoyed her Bridge Marathon.

Visitation will be held at Families First Funeral Home in South Windsor on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
