It is with heavy hearts that we announce Robert’s passing on December 26, 2020, at the age of 66.
Rob will be greatly missed by his family. Rob was the loving husband of Shiela Vasko. He was the cherished father of Jeffery Merrifield-Quenneville and wife Michelle. Rob will be missed by step-son Justin Vasko and wife Stephanie, and by step-daughter Alyssa Vasko. He was the adoring grandfather to Tave and Zuri, and Danika and Arlo. Rob was the beloved son to Bob Merrifield (2013) and Mary (Labute). He will be missed by his brother and best friend Doug Merrifield. Rob was also the caring uncle to Tina, Scott, Clint, and Shawn Merrifield.
Rob was a charismatic and affable man who had many friends. He had a long and successful career in the Merrifield family businesses, the audio centre and car dealership. Besides his great love for his family, he also had a passion for cars, his motorcycle, and music. Rob had a positive effect on many people in his life and he will be remembered fondly.
