It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear brother, uncle, father, and grandfather, Robert (Bob) Pedler (August 26, 1930 - May 18, 2023). Born in Hamilton, ON, he was the founder and president of Bob Pedler Real Estate (1969) and was known as “Mr. South Windsor” for his work developing the city’s south end. A proud and active member in all levels of the Canadian Real Estate industry, he served as president of the Windsor Board, both the Ontario and Canadian Real Estate Associations and was a member of the Canadian Delegation on the United Nations Commission on Human Settlement. He was also the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for Dedication to Service to the Community in 2013. An icon in the city and a mentor to many, Bob Pedler had many civic accomplishments including a member of the International Relations Committee, City of Windsor; a founding board chairmen of Windsor Crime Stoppers, President of the Canadian Historical Railroad Association for the Windsor-Essex Division and founding chairman of the Save the Spirit of Windsor Engine 5588.
A dedicated family man, over the last 45 years Bob Pedler worked with his sons Greig, Dave and his daughter-in-law Mary Catherine, to grow his business into the success it is today. He is predeceased by his wife Joan (nee Johnstone), his sisters, Mary-Lou, Shirley and Irene and his nephew Robert Gale Jr. He will be dearly missed by his loving sons, Greig (Mary Catherine), Dave (Mary) and Scott, his grandchildren Jenny, Holly, Allison (David), Melissa, Cheryl (Jon), his sisters Kathleen Beauchamp (Royal), Barbara Vanthournout (Gary) and nephews and nieces, Eva, Roger, and John.

Visitation Tuesday, May 23rd from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Friends are invited to join the family Wednesday, May 24 from 9am - 10 am. A Celebration of Bob’s life will take place at 10am.
