Born Feb. 9, 1935-Died Dec.1, 2009

After a courageous battle with cancer, died peacefully with his family by his side. Cherished husband of Gloria Thrasher (nee Chappus) and former husband of the late Marilyn. Loving father of Robert Jr. and wife Maureen, Ronald and wife Jennifer and Scott and wife Jennifer. Devoted step-father of Wendy and husband Tom, Ronald, Shelley and husband Darrin and Greg and wife Kim. Treasured grandfather of Kennedy, Alexandria, Shaylynn, Allison, Dakota, Amanda and Alysia. Dear great-grandfather of Kyleigh. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Bill and wife Muriel, Jack and wife Tootsie, Frank and wife Shiela and by his sister Barbara. Predeceased by his sisters Patricia and Judy. He was loved by his many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bob was an avid lover of animals and all things outdoors. He was a fantastic father who taught his children well. He found Christ and was a frequent visitor of Parkwood Pentacostal Church. He was Baptized on October 22, 2009 and went into the arms of his Lord on December 1, 2009. Bob was a retired member of Chrysler C.A.W Local 444. He was a member of O.H.H.A (Ontario Harness Horse Association) and S.W.O.A (Southwestern Ontario Association of Racing Pigeons). Visiting Thursday 3-5 and 7-9pm at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (519-969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. On Friday, friends and family are invited to meet after 11:00am at Parkwood Gospel Temple followed by funeral service at 12:00 noon.
