I grew up on frederick st.,Sydney N.S.It must be 50 years ,but I remember Rose working at Dipenta's store.when I saw her death notice,it brought back a flood of memories.I think her sister Mary and husband Flash, owned the store on Lingan rd.I spent a lot of time there drinking pop in the store, because I had to give the empty bottle, because I didn't have the 2 cents for the deposit.the pop was only 7cents.I remember Rose had beautiful blond hair.she was so pretty.I just want her family to know, that I remember her very well, even though it was so long ago.my condolencesto her family.may she rest in peace.(my name was Debi DEYOUNG,from Taylor's Hill)From

Rose was a wonderful lady and held a very special place in my heart. Many years ago, when I started working st Sears, she took me under her wing and taught me job skills and life skills. She challenged me and made me want to do my best. Most importantly, she instilled confidence in me. Over the years we stayed connected and she always made me feel special. But she was the special one. She loved her family and I heard all the stories about Michael, Cheryl and her grandchildren Mylan and Serge. She was so proud of all of you. My deepest condolences to you and all her family and friends. She will forever be in my heart. Rest In Peace, Rose. Love, AnaFrom

To Michael and family.
There is no easy way to deal with a mother's passing. Sadness is always there but you/we need to remember the good times. It is a little more difficult when she was the last of that generation. But I remember fondly the Christmas Day festivities on Frederick Street and the humongous quantities of food your mother and her sisters made. I also remember your mother's laugh in the middle of all that chaos.
Our deepest condolences.
RIP Aunt Rosie
