Roy Bourque
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving father and grandfather “Pip” on October 17, 2019 at the age of 94. Predeceased by wife Marjorie (2007). Will be dearly missed by his children Jim Bourque, JoAnne Leney (Russ) and his grandson Jarrod Ferris with whom he shared a special bond. Son of the late Wilfred and Vina Bourque. Dear brother to Gene (Marcie), Luella Browne (late George), Margaret Lefebvre (late Ed). Predeceased by siblings Leo (late Annie), Gladys, Bernice, Albert (Georgina), Harvey, Leonard (Helen) and Fr. Wilfred Bourque. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Roy served with the Canadian Armed Forces in WWII serving in the Governor General’s Footguards regiment. He was an active member of St. James Anglican Church and loved to tend his beautiful flower gardens.
Special thanks to the staff of Iler Lodge for their compassionate care.
As an expression of sympathy and to honour Roy’s life, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
Visitation Sunday, October 20, 2019 3-5 pm and 7-9pm with a Veteran's Memorial Service under the auspices of Windsor Veteran's Memorial Service Committee at 4pm. Funeral Service Monday, October 21, 2019 at 11:30am at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
