Peacefully, on December 24, 2018 at 68 years of age. Best friend and cherished husband of Kathy (nee Cape) for 42 years. Awesome dad of Jessica and husband Mathew McGuire. Grampi of Madelyn, Mason, Myles and Mikey. Brother-in-law of Lynne and Keith Irwin, Sue and Marc Robert, and Dave Cape. Nephew of Vi and Sally Barichello.Half-brother of Valerie Smith. Sadly missed by friends Dawna Mitchell, John and Marlene Coughlin, and Dr. Dean Favot. Rusty was a dedicated employee of Hotel Dieu Hospital for over 30 years. He will be missed by his Sunday morning hockey team at Essex of which he played with for over 35 years.
