Ruzica was born in Gornji Varos, Croatia on October 1, 1929 to her late parents, Andrija and Manda Jankavic. Ruzica and her husband, Ilija with children immigrated to Canada in 1960. She passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on January 31, 2024 at 94 years of age.
Reunited with her beloved husband Ilija and her late son Matt. Cherished mother to Zlatko (Victoria), Mira Stojcevski (Steve), Katarina Coates, Anne Simke (Frank) daughter-in-law JoEllen. Loving mamo to 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Ruzica loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Memorial donations to Crohns and Colitis Society Canada in Ruzica’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Visiting will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. Visiting will resume the following day, Monday, February 5, 2024 from 10:00am until of Ruzica’s celebration of life at 11:00am at Families First South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave 519-969-5841). Procession to Windsor Memorial Gardens to follow for internment.
