MAGGIO, Salvatore “Sam”

Passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2019 at the age of 79 years. Reunited with his beloved late wife Vanna (nee Pasquantonio). Loving father of Joanne Birley and husband Anthony, Dave Maggio and wife Stephanie. Proud and adored Nonno of Vanessa, Mitchell, Lucas, and Ella. Dear brother of Aurelio. Predeceased by parents Saverio and Giovanna (nee Lopes) and by siblings Paulo, Gabriele, Pino, Franco, and Italia. Survived by several brothers and sisters in law. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Every Saturday, he enjoyed playing cards with his cousins. Sam retired from GM. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching Rai TV. He never missed his shows.

Visiting Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service Friday 10:15 am from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 then in procession to St. Angela Merici for a Mass at 11 am.
