Obituary for Sandra "Sandie" Volkes-Hommel (Grant)
Passed away on March 13, 2023 at the age of 71.
Loving wife and best friend to Gerry, with whom she celebrated nearly 25 years of marriage.
Loving mom to Kyle (Andrea) and loved step-mother to Christopher (Nessa), Joel (Kyla) and Brian (Paige). Precious Cailleach to Elia, Caden, Freya, Holden.
Sandie will be missed by her half-siblings Linda, Laura, David, Jodi, Cheri, Jackie, and Leanne. Special aunt to Dana. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Sandie is predeceased by her sister Kelly.
Sandie had a long career as a Registered Nurse in Windsor and Detroit, she also taught at St. Clair College in the nursing program.
