Obituary for Sarkis Jawad Sassine

With heavy hearts, we mourn the sudden and untimely passing of Sarkis Jawad Sassine, a beloved son, brother, Uncle, cousin, and friend. Sarkis departed from this world on February 21, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Born in 1981, Sarkis lived a vibrant life filled with joy and love. He was a constant light for his family, and a loyal companion to his friends. Sarkis had an infectious laugh and personality that illuminated every room he entered, with his warm smile and genuine compassion, touching the lives of all who knew him. He was a passionate sports enthusiast who transformed his love for athletics into a successful career with Sutherland, who provided opportunities to collaborate with ESPN.
As a dedicated dog lover, Sarkis found immense joy and comfort in the companionship of his two beloved canine friends, Gemma and Ghost. He treated them as family members, showering them with endless affection and care. He will be forever missed by his parents, Denise and Michel, his brothers, Paul (Robin) and Jason (Tanya), his sister Nicole, nieces Lyla and Lucy, and nephew Noah, grandfather Gidou Jawad, pre deceased by grandparents Sarkis, Wadia, and Laila, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He will never be forgotten and his laugh will echo in our hearts forever. If you so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in Sarkis' honour may be made to The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 2:00pm-5:00pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm with parish prayers with Knights of Columbus Dean Wagner Assembly 0862 colour guard at 8:00 p.m. at Families First, South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave. 519-969-5841).
